I’m Simon and I’m a photographer.

There, I said it.

Having had an interest in photography since my teens I decided to take the plunge and “go pro”. I began to concentrate on studio portraiture in early 2009 and that seems to be where my heart is. That said, I just love all things photography and try not to limit myself.

I see all of the photographic equipment I own as tools to do a job. I tend not to go around listing the things I use to take the shots I do, but rest assured it’s not just a box brownie and an angle-poise lamp. The majority of images on this site were taken in my studio space in Nottingham city centre.

I considered adding some pompous rubbish about my photography (it seems to be all the rage), but as the people that have worked with me will testify, pomposity is definitely not what I’m about.
